Edward S. Maclin Hall re-opened in August 2007 as a residence hall for students, after 10 years of other uses. The center section of the building was originally built in 1938 and the wings were added in 1953. The 2007 renovation turned an old building into a new one. We are extremely happy to have Maclin Hall back as a residence hall.

For Fall 2010, we will be changing most of the single rooms into double rooms. This will increase the total number of beds available to 260. Maclin Hall will house about 40 females and 220 males. Maclin Hall will have double rooms and double room suites available to all students. The double rooms will share a bath on the hallway and the suites will have two double rooms with a private bath between the rooms. Individual suites will be single sex. A very limited number of single rooms will be available to upperclassmen. If space is available after everyone is assigned a room, some students will be able to pay an additional fee to keep the double room as a private room (no roommate). The decision on availability of singles is made after the semester starts.There are 9 hallway bathrooms, office space, a TV lounge, a computer lounge, a fitness room, a large recreation/lounge and a Director’s Apartment in the building.

The student rooms will have internet, cable TV and telephone connections provided. All rooms will have tile floors that look like wood. Each wing floor will have a centrally located community bathroom. The 1st floor will have an office, TV room, lounge, and meeting space. The Ground floor will have a wellness/fitness room (exercise machines), mail/study room, vending area, individual mailboxes, recreation room, and laundry room.
